The OnePlus 3 and the Galaxy S7 Edge both tout a 5.5-inch Full HD display. However, the OnePlus 3 boasts a 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution versus the Galaxy S7 edge's 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, making the latter superior.
The iPhone 6s, on the other hand, has the smallest screen of the three - a 4.7-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1,334 x 750 pixels.
When it comes to pixel density, the Samsung offering fares the best with 534ppi, followed by OnePlus with 401ppi and lastly the iPhone 6s with 326ppi.
Processor And RAM
The Galaxy S7 edge's U.S. variant houses a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, which clocks at 2.2 GHz and 4 GB of RAM.
The iPhone 6s is powered by the dual-core A9 processor and 2 GB of RAM, which at launch, the company claimed improved 70 percent from the previous-gen processor. Interestingly, the Snapdragon 820 processor has not made its appearance at the time. Speed tests for the Samsung smartphone and iPhone 6s Plus - which has the same processor as the iPhone 6s - however, tilted scales in the latter's favor.
The OnePlus 3 also houses the same quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor as the Samsung smartphone, but a speed test showed that it was no match for the latter.
However, it easily wins in the memory stakes as the OnePlus 3 boasts a whopping 6 GB of RAM.
Storage
The iPhone 6s comes in 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage options, but has no option to expand the memory further. The Galaxy S7 edge is available in 32 GB and 64 GB options - with the latter storage model available in select markets - and also has a memory expansion option of up to 200 GB via a microSD card.
The OnePlus 3 is available in a 64 GB memory storage option in the U.S. (the 32 GB variant will likely be offered in other markets), but offers no option to expand it further. The smartphone has also come under criticism for memory management issues.
Therefore, while the OnePlus 3 betters the iPhone 6s and Galaxy S7 edge when it comes to RAM capacity on paper, when it comes to storage capacity it pales in comparison.
Camera
Both the iPhone 6s and Galaxy S7 edge offer a 12-megapixel primary and 5-megapixel selfie camera. The OnePlus 3 betters both on paper by offering a 16-megapixel primary and 8-megapixel selfie camera.
However, it lacks the Live photo and Motion Photo features of the other two. The OnePlus 3 does have a neat trick up its sleeve as well as it offers an auto selfie feature dubbed Smile Capture.
Battery
Apple does not reveal the battery size of its iPhones officially, but a promo video accidentally let slip that the iPhone 6s houses a 1,715 mAh battery. Per the company, the iPhone 6s' battery offers support for 14 hours of talk time on 3G.
The Galaxy S7 edge packs in a 3,600 mAh battery, which can support up to 36 hours on 3G. The OnePlus 3 packs in a 3,000 mAh battery, but the talk time support offered is not known.
Operating System
The Galaxy S7 edge and OnePlus 3 both come with the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. The iPhone 6s comes pre-loaded with iOS 9.
Price
The OnePlus 3 is priced at $399 for the 64 GB variant, which is much cheaper compared with the $749.99 price for the 32 GB model of the Galaxy S7 edge and $749 for the 64 GB iPhone 6s.
